2018-2020: Paint me the sky!

Simon of Taisten and his work in the residence castle Schloss Bruck

Museum Schloss Bruck, main wing

What tasks and professions existed in a painting workshop? Where did the colors come from and what global network was required for it? How is a fresco made and what preparations are necessary? Not least, the necessary knowledge of saints and their legends and attributes is discussed - because not only the craftsmanship, but above all the composition of the intermediaries between God and man was of extraordinary importance.

For all visitors, young and old, the exhibition offers interactive connections. Knowledge is not presented flatly, but experienced and explored by the guest of the painting workshop. Digital presentations and listening stations complete a museum experience that probably reaches its peak with the colorful frescoes in the chapel.
