Museum educational program 2026
The museum educational activities and art discussions are methodically and thematically tailored to the needs of different age groups and school levels. Due to specific questions and tasks, as well as specially developed didactic materials, the students actively engage with the originals in the exhibitions and their contents.
In terms of content, the exhibition can be I am readyg. Albin Egger-Lienz † 1926 dealt with, which mainly illuminate the last years of life and work of the important Tyrolean artist.
A highlight of the museum educational program is the Castle history, which Counts of Gorizia, life in the Middle Ages and all kinds of hidden rooms in our castle. Also popular is the Castle chapel, with the frescoes by the South Tyrolean artist Simon von Taisten and stories about the creation and execution of these special paintings.

General information for teaching staff:
Free admission for accompanying teachers as part of the museum educational program.
If desired, museum educational tours can start as early as 08:00 am.
The price is valid for school classes by appointment when using the museum educational workshop. If visiting the museum without educational guidance, the entrance fee per student is € 2.50.
Packed lunch can be consumed in the castle park or in the former battlement in case of bad weather.
