Only a few artists worked in such a wide range of different materials, techniques, and styles as the Tyrolean sculptor Hans Pontiller (1887-1970), whose family roots can be found in East Tyrol. The exhibition presents a cross-section of his oeuvre, ranging from arts and crafts to wood sculptures to modern bronze sculptures.

Central to his sculptural work was the human body with all its forms of expression. These body images also include masterful and psychologically conceived portraits. In this exhibition curated by Dr. Ursula Marinelli, newly discovered sculptures by the artist will also be presented to the public.
