2013: ALBIN EGGER-LIENZ - Peasant painter or Pioneer of Modernism?

18.05. – 27.10.2013

The world"s largest collection of works by the East Tyrolean painter Albin Egger-Lienz is presented in the impressive setting of Schloss Bruck as a permanent exhibition. Deep insights into the life and work of the artist are revealed. For example, Egger"s artistic development from a realistic historical or peasant painter to a pioneer of modernism becomes tangible. Works by his contemporaries and early East Tyrolean role models Franz von Defregger and Hugo Engl are also part of the exhibition.
